Noteless Privacy Policy

Welcome to Noteless, an AI note-taking and brainstorming app designed for students and researchers.

1. Information We Collect

a. Data Types: We collect your email address and a unique device ID to identify your device during re-installations and to prevent multiple uses of our free trial.
b. Account Information: You are required to submit a nickname when creating an account. This nickname is used locally by the AI chatbot for personalized interactions and is not stored in our database.
c. Purchases: We collect details of your purchases made via Google Pay to validate transactions and display your purchase history within the app.
d. Tracking: From version 3.86 onwards, tracking data includes Email and IP Address for the following events:

• Purchases
• Subscriptions
• Content look (when purchase button is pressed)
• Tutorial/Guide completion
• App launch
• Registration completion
  Tracking is enabled by default and can be disabled in the settings after making a purchase. Tracking cannot be turned off during the free trial period.

e. Sharing: We do not share your data with third parties unless required to comply with legal obligations.

2. Data Usage and Processing

a. AI Interactions: We process but do not store or review data from conversations with the AI chatbot, audio submissions for speech-to-text, and images for OCR.
b. Audio Recordings: Audio recordings up to one minute long are processed by our speech-to-text tool and stored locally without our access.
c. Images and Camera: We request camera permission to capture images containing text or math formulas, which are processed and not stored.
d. File Access: The app requires file access permission to save and export notes.
e. Marketing Information: We do not collect marketing information nor sell any data.

Your data may be transferred across international borders as our servers are located in Spain.

3. Data Security

We protect your data using robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

a. Data Retention: User data is retained indefinitely to monitor account activity.
b. Data Deletion: Users may request data deletion through customer support, which will remove usage data and email information while retaining the user ID to monitor account creation.

5. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

6. Regulatory Compliance

While our app is not specifically designed for children, we comply with all relevant privacy laws applicable to our user base, including students and researchers.
